What the job entails
You represent people through the biggest sale of their lives.
- Locate and work with owners of small and medium-sized businesses interested in selling.
- Through our marketing channels and your own efforts, find buyers for our listings.
- Advise and assist both sides through the sale and purchase transaction.
- Educate them on how the process works, and become their trusted advisor.
- Develop relationships and build rapport with advisors and consultants.
What we look for
Operators, not salespeople.
It is not uncommon for business brokers to earn several hundred thousand dollars a year. But the people who do it well have run something themselves.
- Experience owning or operating a small business
- Experience understanding and analyzing company financials
- Great communication by phone, email and face-to-face
- The ability to empathize with owners and buyers, and understand what they need
- Organizational skills and efficient time management
- Teachable, and willing to work in a team environment
